The AERA Grants Program is the result of six successive grants to the American Educational Research Association (AERA) from the National Science Foundation (NSF), with an interagency agreement from the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) of the Institute of Education Sciences. Please visit the AERA Grants Program website for additional information.
AERA invites education policy- and practice-related research proposals using NCES, NSF, and other national data bases. Research Grants are available for faculty at institutions of higher education, postdoctoral researchers, and other Doctoral-level researchers. Applications are encouraged from a variety of disciplines, such as but not limited to, education, sociology, economics, psychology, demography, statistics, and psychometrics.
Other Funding Sources
The Spencer Foundation provides funding for investigations that promise to yield new knowledge about education in the United States or abroad. The Foundation funds research grants that range in size from smaller grants that can be completed within a year, to larger, multi-year endeavors.
RPT awards are intended to defray the costs of materials or equipment necessary to your research, and/or for travel required to collect data or to present the results of research at professional meetings.
