The biennial conference series on Cultural Attitudes towards Technology and Communication provides one of the most significant international forums for research on how diverse culture attitudes and communication preferences shape the implementation and use of information and communication technologies. The Annual Conference on Distance Teaching & Learning, hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Madison, is recognized internationally for the quality and integrity of its program. The annual SITE Conference is unique as it is the only conference which has as its sole focus the integration of instructional technologies into teacher education programs. Individual teacher educators and affiliated organizations of teacher educators in all disciplines, who are interested in the creation and dissemination of knowledge about the use of information technology in teacher education and faculty/staff development should consider attending this conference. SITE is a society of the Association for the Advancement of Computing in Education (AACE).
The EdMedia is an international conference, organized by the Association for the Advancement of Computing in Education (AACE). This annual conference serves as a multi-disciplinary forum for the discussion and exchange of information on the research, development, and applications on all topics related to multimedia, hypermedia and telecommunications/distance education.
The International Society of the Learning Sciences sponsors two professional conferences, held in alternate years. Each includes keynotes, symposia, workshops, panels, submitted papers, posters, and demos covering timely and important issues of interest to the community and reporting recent research findings. The International Conference of the Learning Sciences (ICLS), first held in 1992 and held bi-annually since 1996, covers the entire field of the learning sciences. The International Conference on Computer-Supported Collaborative Learning (CSCL), held bi-annually since 1995, focuses on issues related to learning through collaboration and promoting productive collaborative discourse with the help of the computer and other communications technologies.
AHRD is a global organization made up of, governed by, and created for the Human Resource Development (HRD) scholarly community of academics and reflective practitioners. The Academy was formed to encourage systematic study of human resource development theories, processes, and practices; to disseminate information about HRD; to encourage the application of HRD research findings; and to provide opportunities for social interaction among individuals with scholarly and professional interests in HRD from multiple disciplines and from across the globe.
